Cody Johnson is a licensed agent and came to Reno in 1998 on a football scholarship to the University of Nevada where he played four years with the Wolfpack. In 2003, Cody earned his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from the University after completing his final season with the Wolfpack. Cody initially worked with Wells Fargo Bank where he found that he truly appreciated the world of risk and financial management. After four years with Wells Fargo and exiting as a branch manager, Cody left to work as a project manager at a local real estate firm having the opportunity to work on projects throughout the West. Cody started an appraisal management company during his time with the real estate firm which led him right back in to the risk management arena to which he decided to return full time with a passion for helping people and businesses in his community. Currently Cody lives in Northwest Reno with his wife and two young children and enjoys sports of all types, camping with friends and family, working in the community, coaching, and teaching people the art of homebrewing. Lynda Emmons started
in the insurance industry in 1973, for a small agency in Carson City,
NV. She owned and managed Dayton Valley Insurance, Inc until 1982, when
she merged with another agency in Reno. Sixteen years later she made the
move to another independent agency, starting a branch in Carson City
for them. Lynda brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the
Balsiger Agency. Her expertise includes working with trucking firms,
hotels, contractors and tribal governments as well as any other business
seeking a well established, competent agent. Lynda's credentials
include both a CIC designation (Certified Insurance Counselor), AIA

Marcella Castellon is a licensed agent and has been with our agency since 2007. She has been in the insurance industry for over 8 years with extensive knowledge in personal and commercial insurance. She is a proud graduate of The University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in Speech Communication with a minor in Business. Marcella was raised in Canada where she learned to be fluent in Spanish and French and has called Reno home since 2001. She enjoys hiking, traveling, and playing tennis. |

Kaci Hartwick is a customer service rep and is a current Pre-Nursing student at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is very active on campus- she sings in the University Choir and also serves as the President of Circle K, which is a community service organization. When she’s not studying or volunteering, Kaci is most likely working. She has been with our office for almost a year now, and her favorite thing besides her co-workers and Thursday lunches is that we work around her class schedule. Ellie O' Connell is a licensed account manager, that comes to Balsiger Insurance with 40 plus years experience in property & casualty insurance and customer service. After spending 30 years with a major company in California in a variety of management and customer service roles, she began working for an independent agent in So Lake Tahoe, CA.
